THIS COURSE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING NATIONALLY RECOGNISED UNITS OF COMPETENCY:
PUASAR025 Undertake Confined Space Rescue
NOTE: PRE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This Unit is recommended for participants from emergency services or volunteer organisations where confined space work is undertaken. This confined space rescue training course is nationally recognised and provides the participants with the knowledge and skills require to undertake rescue in confined spaces, as defined in AS 2865-2009 Confined spaces, as a member of a single agency or multi-disciplinary team.
COURSE DETAILS
Duration: 6-8 Hours
Where: Unit 2, 84 Solomon Road, Jandakot WA 6164
Delivery Mode : Face to face
Amenities: Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Kitchen facilities are available for those who wish to bring their own lunch. A lunch bar is 100m away.

STUDENT REQUIREMENT
Students must have the language, literacy, numeracy (LLN) and physical capabilities to meet the performance criteria of this unit. (For further information or if you have any concerns regarding LLN and/or physical capabilities please contact the office)
Students must have the ability to read and write English and be able to perform practical and theoretical assessment as required.
Students must wear standard work wear, enclosed safety shoes, long shirt and pants.
NOTE: PRE-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
THIS EVIDENCE MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO ATTENDING THE COURSE. PARTICIPANTS CANNOT ATTEND THIS COURSE WITHOUT PROVIDING THIS EVIDENCE.

PRE-REQUISITES
There are prerequisites required for (Fire Sector Specific) training PUASAR022 Participate in a rescue operation (Fire sector specific) PUAFIR316 Identify, detect and monitor hazardous materials at an incident (Fire sector specific).
UPON COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet sized card for:

Australian Standard (AS) 2865-2009 Confined spaces
understand and apply lock, tag out and isolation procedures
provide emergency care
organisational procedures for cleaning and discarding equipment in terms of environmental management and sustainability
potential occupational hazards and control measures
procedures for atmospheric monitoring
purging and ventilation in accordance with national standards
selection, use and maintenance of respiratory devices
use of ropes and knots for accessing confined space
conduct rescue operations
manage rescue scene
