EXCAVATOR

THIS COURSE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING NATIONALLY RECOGNISED UNITS OF COMPETENCY:

  • RIIMPO301E Conduct Hydraulic Excavator Operations

 WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This training is required for participants who are working in site-based roles. This course describes the skills and knowledge required to conduct hydraulic excavator operations . Licensing, legislative, regulatory and certification requirements that apply to this qualification can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors.

 STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Students must have the language, literacy, numeracy and digital (LLND) and physical capabilities to meet the performance criteria of this unit. (For further information or if you have any concerns regarding LLND and/or physical capabilities please contact the office)

  • Participants must have the ability to read and write English and be able to perform practical and theoretical assessment as required.

  • Students must wear standard work wear, enclosed safety shoes, long shirt and pants.

COURSE DETAILS

  • Duration: 8 Hours

  • Delivery Mode: Face to face

  • Where: Unit 2, 84 Solomon Road, Jandakot or client site.

  • Amenities: Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. Kitchen facilities are available for those who wish to bring their own lunch. A lunch bar is 100m away.

PRE-REQUISITES
Participants must be a minimum of 18 years old and hold a valid Class C licence as a minimum.

UPON COMPLETION
Upon successful completion of this course, each participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and wallet sized card for:

  • Course Induction & Enrolment

  • Regulations and legislative requirements

  • Plan and prepare for hydraulic excavator operations

  • Identify Hazards and environmental issues, assess the risks

  • Select and wear PPE

  • Communication techniques

  • Pre and post operational checks

  • Setting up hydraulic excavator equipment

  • Operate hydraulic excavator equipment

  • Shutting down hydraulic excavator equipment

  • Carry out post operational inspection

  • Carry our housekeeping activities

  • Practical assessment
